THE STORY OF REVOSHOCK

“The Redster G9 Revoshock provides the perfect combination of control, stability, and acceleration. These are the main things I need from a ski to perform on the biggest stage."

MARCO SCHWARZ

“Even if the course conditions are not 100% perfect, thanks to the new Redster G9 Revoshock, I can push through my turns fully because the system absorbs impacts so well!”

SOFIA GOGGIA

“Redster Revoshock helps me stabilize the ski during the entire turn and pushes me forward into the next one. It does that by reducing vibration and increasing stability. :)”

“With the new Revoshock system, I feel like the stability of the ski has improved a lot, which makes it easier for me to ski the line I want. “

Our roots

They say there is value in knowing where you come from; in staying connected to your roots. At Atomic, ski racing is in our blood. It’s our culture and our heritage. Atomic Redster is the modern iteration of that World Cup lineage, forged in the crucible of competition and honed over thousands of hours between the gates. Our relentless pursuit of every fraction of a second on the racecourse has resulted in the flagship Redster G9 Revoshock S, our top-end GS ski equipped with Revoshock. A ski that makes skiing faster and more controlled for the elite racer, as well as the on-piste enthusiast searching for the best in high-performance skiing.

Our quest to create faster skis led us to Revoshock, the pinnacle of ski stabilization and shock absorption. Skis perform better when they’re in contact with the snow. Rough snow conditions disrupt this connection and decrease control. When you’re racing, maintaining your line is the difference between winning and losing. Revoshock keeps the ski stable, vibration-free, and in total control so you can rip around the gates on a perfect line.

Revoshock keeps your skis stable in rutted conditions, but it’s more than just a dampening system. A series of spring steel modules encased in dynamic elastomer absorb bumps and ski chatter. This is where Revoshock earns its distinction: after absorbing the input from the piste, Revoshock rebounds that energy, moving it from the front of the ski back into the snow, creating a responsive, powerful, predictable ride that accelerates out of every turn. Revoshock is one part dampening system, one part turbo-boost.

The Redster line has a ski that will make your day on the mountain more rewarding. So, whether you’re a pro obsessing over hundredths of a second on the rocket ship Redster G9 Revoshock S or a club racer out cutting perfect turns through the afternoon slush with your friends after a training session, you’ll have more than six decades of experience underfoot. Six decades of pushing equipment to the limit. Six decades of innovative new tech, all packed into a pair of skis purpose made to go fast.

The new Redster line represents the natural progression of our history, our heritage, of who we are. The cumulative knowledge and experience of hundreds of racers, ski techs, engineers, and designers over sixty-five years, all distilled down to this: our very best, born on the racecourse, built for the piste.

DEVELOPMENT

DEVELOPMENT

Every Redster ski can trace its DNA to World Cup competition. But before achieving success at the highest level comes the testing. The tests and retests of every aspect of the ski. And with input from skiers like Mikaela Shiffrin, Sofia Goggia, Marco Schwarz and Aleksander Kilde, no detail goes unconsidered.

After each race or training session, we get feedback from our athletes. As we create new systems to enhance the skiing of World Cup athletes, we learn valuable lessons that translate into improved ski performance for every skier.

Skiers who chase a high-performance skiing experience often look for similar elements in how a ski behaves. Whether you’re in pursuit of every hundredth of a second between the gates or simply want to have fun making the best possible turns on your local piste, you need a ski that is responsive and dynamic while remaining predictable and easy to handle. Early results speak for themselves. In the first GS race of the 2020 season, Lucas Braathen took the win in Sölden on a black-boxed pair of Redster G9 Revoshock’s. We achieved what we had worked for years to accomplish: skis that are fast, stable, and easy to handle under the most demanding conditions.
