Goosebump Moments: The Nordic Season in Review

The nordic 23/24 season has come to an end. It’s been a journey filled with highs, lows, and everything in between.

From iconic World Cup stops like Holmenkollen, to a test run for next year’s World Championships in Trondheim and many maiden podiums, this season had it all. Let’s throw it back to some of those goosebump moments.

The season was kicked off by Mika Vermeulen’s courageous attempt to ski away from the pack at the first World Cup weekend in Ruka where he was still the underdog – now well established in the Elite of distance skiers.
Redster Powerhouse Vici Carl wins in Trondheim (and couldn’t believe it herself how fast she was) – in the „Generalprobe (final rehearsal)” of next year’s World Championships.
Simen and Mika jump onto the podium in Canmore in the Mass Start Skate Race – earning their cowboy hats.
Stefan Rettenegger shows up super strong throughout the whole season – adding some red in the majority of the Nordic Combined podium pictures.
Hugo Lapalus skis to a 3rd overall in the Tour de Ski, fighting off the Norwegian forces and getting his first ever World Cup podium.
Cyril Fähndrich leverages the challenging conditions in Val di Fiemme at the Tour and surprises the competition with a super strong finish – skiing to his first ever podium.

It’s been more than 20 years since the World Cup circuit had a stop in the United States. A very special moment for Julia Kern to ski on home ground. Crazy enthusiastic Americans cheering for everyone – goosebumps for the whole Redster crew guaranteed.

Ansgar Evensen barely qualifies for the heats (28th) and end up sprinting to a 2nd place in Oberhof – once he’s in the heats, you better watch out…
Anne Kjersti returns to the podium in the very last race after a challenging season with some sickness
Legend Simon Eder jumps back onto the podium in the Single Mixed Relay in Antholz.

We can’t wait for the next season to start (only 225 days to go – but who is counting 😉). Now time for some rest. And some off-season fun.
