I'm a pretty good skier, mostly on groomed runs at my local hill. I usually show up late morning/afternoon when the groomers are all chewed up, and these skis just fly through anything, from crud to slush. They're my go-to unless the snow's perfect for my elan ripsticks (the ripsticks beat me up a bit, transferring all the energy straight to my legs, which isn't fun). I have some leg issues (genetic veinous insufficiency), so the smooth ride of these skis lets me ski all day long, even at high speeds. They carve incredibly well. I chose the q7.8 over the 9.8 because I thought the carbon powered revo shock would be more fun and lively. I don't need anything smoother, but I'd like to try the 9.8 sometime. They've gotta be even smoother. I'm also thinking about the Maverick 96 CTIs to replace the ripsticks. In short, the Q7.8s are exceptional skis, adept at handling diverse snow conditions and effectively mitigating vibrations, which is particularly beneficial for those with leg conditions. They carve extremely well and absolutely rip! I may create a YouTube review to share my enthusiasm. I highly recommend them!!
Date published: 2025-03-26

Rated 5 out of 5 by badski from Serious turn radius's and grip Hard charger that grips ice like hockey skates but with the wider waist makes it an all mountain ski too!Very versatile from groomers to light crud and powder!
