HAWX ULTRA 130 S DUAL BOA
New
Redster Club Sport
Step-by-step explanation of how to accurately measure your foot length
1. Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall.
2. Make sure you are wearing thin ski socks. Always make sure to wear thin socks while skiing – if you wear thicker ski socks, you will get colder faster and have pressure points.
3. Wearing thin ski socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
4. Then use a pen to draw a line directly at the end of your big toe. Repeat for the other foot.
5. Using a ruler, measure the distances between the wall and the lines you drew in centimeters. Use the longer distance to determine your size. Your centimeter length equals your mondo point size.
Info
Knowing the length of your foot (hence, mondo point) is only one measurement out of many that are required to genuinely know which boot is right for you. Your boot is an extremely important part of your skiing equipment and if you’re in the wrong one, it can lead to a lot of discomfort while skiing. And because we want you to enjoy this amazing sport as much as possible, we recommend visiting your local Atomic dealer, who can help match you with a boot that suits your unique biomechanical needs.

I have very narrow feet (A width in the US) and very narrow heels, ankles, shins. I was just going in to replace my liners in my pro machines (with injected liners which are the best solution I know for super narrow heels and ankles). I was starting to wear my liners down and get heel lift as you do with those. I took a moment and tried these on for fun. As an alpine resort skier I didn’t have any experience with Boa like I see a lot of the back country folks using. Well, I was super surprised! The fit was amazing right out of the box and I’m loving them! They are a bit softer flex than I am used to but the heel and ankle hold is better than any boot I have ever had. I don’t think I’m going to need to do any work to them at all unless there is a way to make them stiffer. It would be cool if they had a stiffer cuff available. I ski all mountain and love high speed carving on piste as well. I’m was an active traveling racer as a kid. These boots are precise and I felt immediately tuned in. The ankle wrapping feel and total lack of heel lift is completely awesome. They are a bit on the light side but the heal hold is worth it.
