It’s constructed just like a probe – 5 pieces connected through a string inside – so all you have to do is press a button and it folds down to 40cm in seconds – easy to pack away. You can also adjust the pole’s length to match the gradient of your climb. It’s reflective for night touring and made from a hybrid mix of aluminum and carbon that makes it both extra light and rigid. Atomic has also added SQS (Safety Quick Release System) that instantly releases your strap under tension to prevent injuries. A serious pole for serious tourers!

<span itemprop="description">I have had these poles going on 4 seasons now and I will never take them out of my quiver. They're extremely light and break down very easily. When you need to switch over to an ice axe and out away your poles, these poles break down in less than a minute. They break down so small that I can easily strap them to the outside of my pack. The powder baskets also have small spikes on the bottom that help grip in less-than-ideal snow conditions.</span>
