About Benjamin
Since his junior days, Benjamin Raich has been considered one of the greatest talents in alpine skiing. After winning the silver medal at the World Championships 2001 on home ground in St. Anton, he reached reached the peak of his career between 2005 and 2010: a total of five medals at the World Championships 2005 in Bormio, followed by the Overall World Cup title in 2006 as well as Olympic gold medals in slalom and giant slalom in Torino the same year. Throughout his career "Benni" has been known for his consistency which led to him to second places in the overall world cup in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
