How do you stay active in the off-season?

I'm a jack of all trades who loves new experiences so in my off-season I hike, bike, backpack, paddle and surf through Washington. However, there really is no off-season when you live near volcanos and we ski year round, just with a little more hiking than in the winter months.

What is something exciting you have planned for next season?

Next season my husband and I plan to storm chase all season in lieu of a honeymoon. Hope to see you on your home mountain!

Favorite mountain snack?

My body is a wonderland so you won't catch me without Cheetos in my pack.

Tell us about yourself.

Hi! I’m Morgan Chinn (she/her), a Washington-based ski patroller, outdoor-inspired artist, and backcountry enthusiast. I spend my time skiing, backpacking, painting moody PNW landscapes, and introducing more women to the outdoors through community trips and gear lending. I’m usually out with my two wild dogs, chasing powder or sunset lines. This is my third year with Atomic, and I’m so grateful to be part of a team that shares the stoke and supports outdoor connection.

Describe your perfect day in the mountains.

My perfect day in the mountains would be waking up in a tent with my dogs and heading out for a big objective with friends while the sun shines on gorgeous views - preferably in the North Cascades. I love a good long summit hang before skiing some light powder or cold corn.
