In three of these scenarios Atomic-athletes are in the mix to go home with the Globe. The Women’s combined discipline has been decided last weekend with Michaela Kirchgasser carving to the podium with a runner-up finish in Lenzerheide.
In the speed disciplines there’s still a lot of excitement lingering after the World Cup stop in Kvitfjell. Five candidates in downhill and Super-G aim for Crystal Globes. After a tenth place finish in Kvitfjell, Peter Fill is leading the pack with the same score as the still injured Aksel Lund Svindal (who will come in first if the race on Wednesday needs to be cancelled). Only four points behind lurks Kvitfjell-winner Dominik Paris. In the Super-G, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (fourth in Kvitfjell) sits on a comfortable 37 and 40 point advantage over Vincent Kriechmayr and Kjetil Jansrud.
