After the memorable Olympic winter the run-up for the next World Championship season has already started. Only four days after the World Cup final with seven crystal globes for Atomic the Redster success is unstoppable: before his heli-skiing trip to Canada the most successful ski racer in the world Marcel Hirscher extended his partnership with the most successful ski brand in the world until 2020. Thus both ski superstars, Hirscher as well as his female counterpart Mikaela Shiffrin, have renewed their contract with the world market leader from Altenmarkt.

REDSTERS WINTER WONDERLAND: 5X GOLD, 7X CRYSTAL GLOBES, 28 WINS

With two cancellations due to wind, a season which is going to be difficult for the Redster Alpine Department to beat came to an end: five Olympic Gold medals (out of a possible ten), seven Crystal Globes (out of twelve), both Overall World Cup wins for the 2nd time in a row. And with 28 individual wins, thanks to three first places at the finals in Are (Sofia Goggia, Mikaela Shiffrin, Marcel Hirscher) they also managed to jump to 1st place in the classification for the ski brand with the most wins this winter.

2 WINS, 3 GLOBES: MARCEL’S NOW GOT THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN

The World Cup winter season carries on for another two weeks, but Redster hero Marcel Hirscher could already fly away on cloud 9 towards his holiday. A brilliant double win in Kranjska Gora simultaneously his 11th and 12th wins this season decided the fight for the large crystal globe as well as 1st place in giant slalom and slalom. In the ladies events a 6th place for Mikaela Shiffrin in the remaining 6 races would still enable her to successfully defend her title.

With the closing ceremony on Sunday the glory days for the Redster units in Pyeongchang came to an end. The more than satisfactory overall results: 7x Gold, 2x Silver and 2x Bronze medals. As expected the lion’s share came from the Alpine experts: Marcel Hirscher (Alpine Combined and Giant Slalom), Ester Ledecka (Super G), Mikaela Shiffrin (Giant Slalom) and Sofia Goggia (Downhill) who earned half of all the Alpine Olympic wins for Atomic.

THE REDSTER PARALYMPIC STARS ARE READY FOR PYEONGCHANG

Whilst the successful Alpine and Nordic Olympic heroes from the Atomic team have just returned with lots of precious metals in their luggage, the countdown has started for the stars in the Redster Paralympics team for Pyeongchang from 9th to 18th March. Five atomic athletes are competing in Korea for Gold, Silver and Bronze: Claudia Lösch, Heike Eder, Thomas Grochar, Roman Rabl and Markus Gfatterhofer are ready as the new Atomic training video impressively shows. For the video shoot the Redster Paralympics racers also met their most famous team colleagues, even the new double Olympic winner Marcel Hirscher. He said “My team colleagues are courageous and in best form."
