In the men’s competitions the Redster unit also managed convincing places just outside the Top 10. After an impressive race to catch up, Jonas Baumann (SUI) came in 11th place over the 15km classic in Lenzerheide, only 2 seconds off, Damien Tarantola (FRA) only 1.4 seconds off the Top Ten in the 15km mass start in Oberstdorf. The winner was only 6.7 seconds faster. With the subsequent 9km hill climb Andreas Katz (GER) came in in 16th place.
The traditionally challenging conditions for the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof didn’t pose any problem for Atomic ski biathlete Benjamin Weger. The Swiss man finished in 8th place in the 10km sprint after a mistake in the prone position only 49 seconds off the winning time. In the pursuit the 28 year old improved and came in 7th place despite two misses. With 252 points in the World Cup Weger is now in an impressive 6th place in the interim rankings.
