MANUEL: KIDS-COMBINED AND NOT ONLY A HIGH-FLYER IN SKI JUMPING
Some careers just start via the correct activation of the genes. Just like with Manuel Faisst: his dad was Nordic Combined skier and with such an idol Manuel started early: at 4 years old he glided around Bergergrund in Baiersbronn the landing area of the 10 metre jump. As he loved cups and was supported early on he had a successful kid’s career. The boarding school for skiing in Furtwangen set the course towards professional sport. As you can’t just stand on one leg, especially as a Nordic combined skier: Manuel is not only a high-flyer in ski jumping but also with his studies, where in addition to top level skiing he studied law at the Albert-Ludwig University in Freiburg. Who says it’s not possible to combine mind and body in top-class sport. Well at the Atomic Redster unit Manuel really feels at home and is ready for winter with the Nordic Ski World Championships in nearby Seefeld.
