Extended cooperation. Once the stress and hype after winning his historic fifth consecutive World Cup globe have eased, Marcel Hirscher has taken an important decision for his future in sports: Today‘s best skier in the world continues to trust the equipment from Atomic out of Altenmarkt. The corresponding partner agreement will last until the end of the Olympic season in 2018.

Ski-World Championships 2017 in St. Moritz, Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 – Ski-Superstar Marcel Hirscher has achieved so much in the last few years, yet still has the hunger for more in the two winters ahead. Today Marcel has taken an important decision for his future: The five time World Cup overall champion will continue his success story with the Redster race equipment from Atomic! Besides his Redster ski setup Hirscher is also known to trust in the boots, helmet and goggles from Altenmarkt.

“We have all achieved quite a lot together and we know at the same time how we can still improve. #WEARESKIING – the motto remains the same and I’m more than happy about this!”

The Redster race unit ends the season in style with four crystal globes: two for Marcel Hirscher, one for Peter Fill and one for Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. Eighteen victories, 43 podiums, and quite a few broken records definitely inspire confidence for the upcoming World Championship season in 2016/17.

The extension of the winning partnership will remain in force until the end of the 2018 season, which will be right after the end of the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. “Never change a winning team, is an old formula for success“, says Wolfgang Mayrhofer, General Manager at Atomic. „Ski racing is a team sport when it comes to optimum material. Naturally we are all delighted that Marcel will continue to be part of our Atomic-team in the forthcoming seasons with a major event in each of them.“
