Hanna Falk had to be content with 4th place in the sprint in the slower semi-final and came in eighth. In the 10 km classic the Swede came in 18th behind her compatriot Emma Wiken (15th), as the third-best Redster athlete. In the men’s sprint Sondre Turvoll Fossli, who came in 6th twice this winter, was unlucky with a collision in the semi-final and was classified as 12th. Over 15km classic Andreas Katz managed to get his best World Cup placing in the last two years. The key to his success: optimum pacing throughout the race, which led the German from 22nd place at the half-way mark to 14th place.
In the ski classic races the Atomic aces were also close to the front. In the traditional La Diagonela, which could be held for the first time on the 65 km long original course with the start and finish in Zuoz (SUI), Anders Moelmen Hoest (NOR) came in 8th and Emil Vokuev (RUS) was 12th. At the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz Benjamin Weger (SUI) missed the Top 10 by only three seconds after three misses and came in 13th place on the 15 km mass start.
