ATOMIC IS STILL THE SLALOM POWER IN THE WORLD CUP
Levi – Saalbach-Hinterglemm – Zagreb: Marcel Hirscher has won three Slaloms this winter, as he missed out on his 100 percent victory rate this winter (after straddling a gate in Madonna di Campiglio where he came in 26th). His Atomic counterpart Mikaela Shiffrin has won all the Slalom races this season (Levi, Killington, Courchevel, Semmering and now Zagreb), and is already 466 points in the lead in the Overall World Cup classification (Marcel has 335). Höflehner: “As usual Mikaela won confidently again with a 1.25 second lead. In the Ladies Slalom team we were missing Katharina Gallhuber, but with Chiara Mair (13th in Zagreb), Magdalena Fjällström and Katharina Huber the young Redster athletes are catching up.
They’ll get their next shot in the Night Slalom in “Atomic home territory” in Flachau. The men meanwhile are heading to Adelboden for the classic technical races this weekend.
