It’s the first helmet that I found is warm and comfortable enough that I don’t have to wear a hat with it no matter how cold it is. It works great on dry days. Unfortunately on snowy or very cold days the inside of the visor forms a layer of ice. This is especially a problem if you have on a mask or neck warmer and some moisture goes up into the mask. The foam on the bottom of the mask does not extend far enough which allows the cold air to come in. On cold or snowy days, I have inserted rolled up fabric on each side and filled the gap to keep the warm air in. We are both avid skiers & absolutely love powder days, but these helmets force us to go inside to let the ice & snow melt. This is not good on what we consider the best ski days. We have returned to the store we purchased them from to see if there is a fix for these and was told there was not. We did see that the newer ones had a revision in the goggles & possibly something added to block the snow from coming in. This was a costly purchase for us, so If there is a fix for us, we would greatly appreciate it. We hate to be disappointed about a products that seemed like a great idea. Seal does not work. Worthless on a powder day. This is the second helmet Atomic sent me. I thought they fixed the problem, but they did not. Super comfortable and visor works like a charm. However, twice now I've been in heavy snowing conditions and somehow snow forms inside the visor and pools on the bottom ledge. Then it starts stacking up and I'm just in survival mode.
