Holo Core and AMID (Atomic Multi-directional Impact Deflector) technologies provide up to 40% higher impact protection than industry safety standards, while the Hybrid EPP In-Mold shell construction is durable, lightweight and supremely safe – with PC Microshells for structural reinforcement without adding bulk. Like all Backland helmets, it includes the little details that make a big difference, like a headlamp mount, removeable strap station and reflective elements. This helmet is also made with 43% recycled material.

<span itemprop="description">When I go on big adventures in the mountains, I usually have to strap my helmet to my bag to prevent my head from sweating, and only wear it for the 20-30 minutes that I'm skiing down. Not with this helmet. I've been able to keep it on my head all day for 8-12 hour adventures without breaking a sweat, leaving more room for supplies in my pack. Or just having much less weight on my back. I'm in love with this helmet!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really wanted to love this helmet. I ski in the backcountry and in the resort, so having a lightweight helmet with a removable lining that can do both is appealing. Unfortunately, both of the headlamp attachment points and one of the bungees for securing goggles have failed or broken within the first few uses (no crashes, I treat my gear/the helmet with great care). The warranty process for repair or replacement is particularly byzantine. At this point, I don't feel good about the quality of the construction, and can't recommend the product, especially at such a premium price.</span>
