Fabian Rießle

In the theatrical drama that his mum wrote the young boy was able to say the sentence: “Mum, mum, I want to be a ski jumper”. Fabian’s dream has turned out to be 50% true, although he was also talented at mountain biking and cooking (his specialty: meat balls, mashed potato and carrot salad), also in cross-country skiing. And so what belonged together grew together. As a Nordic combined skier the 27 year old has been part of the world elite for six seasons now. After his first one, he nearly gave it all up: double somersault after the jump, hard landing, broken humerus. “I was scared of combing back. Without my trainer and my girlfriend (cross-country skier Sandra Ringswald), I wouldn’t have made it.” That would have been a real shame: as Fabian is already in 15th place on the list of the most successful World Cup combined skiers of all time (9 wins, 39 podium places). He’s also team Olympic winner and Silver medal winner in the individuals at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, as well as twice team World Champion. New winter, new opportunities, together with the Redster unit. Welcome Champ!
