JANOSCH IS PUTTING HIS BETS ON SPORT OUTSIDE THE SHOP
He abandoned his plan B to work in his parent’s sports shop in the Black Forest a long time ago. His success over the last few years has inspired him to want more. On the one hand the Gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Vorarlberg in 2015, the Junior World Championship title in the Sprint at Soldier Hollow in 2017 and the first World Cup points at his fourth competition in the top league – 23rd place only nine seconds down on the winner in the 15 km mass start which was part of the Tour de Ski in Oberstdorf, Germany. The future Redster star has been at his home base training in the group Allgäu 21 (the name is already in use for the World Championships at home in 2021) for the past two and a half years. In his private life he’s in a mixed relay with his team colleague Pia Fink. In their shared accommodation the “Private Barrista” Janosch brews his own espresso with original frothy milk shapes to make sure he’s wide awake for sport outside the shop.
