On the Olympic cross-country trails from 1994 Simen Hegstad Krueger came in in 4th place, the second best individual result of his career to-date, making it a clean sweep for the first four for the Norwegians. The 24 year old kept in the leading group over the whole 30 kilometres, 15 km in the classic and 15 km in freestyle and at the end was only 11 seconds behind the winning time. After his great start to the season (7th in the pursuit race in Ruka) Hegstad Krueger is now in 7th place in the distance overall rankings.
Sondre Turvoll Fossli, the Redster sprint rocket, finished the classic sprint just like last weekend in Ruka in 6th place. After the 23 year old took it easier in the qualifying (13th place), won his quarter finals, before coming in a confident third place in the faster semi-final and then entering the showdown of the Top 6. With 74 points he is in 5th place in the interim Sprint results. In the Ladies race Kathrine Rolsted Harsem (NOR) is leading the Atomic line-up in 13th place.
