HOW HER “GIVE ME FIVE!“ WITH HER DAD MOTIVATES HER BEFORE THE RACES
“It doesn’t matter what happens: he’s always there for me! “ Lisa and her dad, who’s also her trainer, have developed a special type of “Give me five!” ritual before each race. “Set me free,” she says. Lisa knows exactly what she wants and has clear visions of how to achieve her goals. To graduate from her Business Studies degree is one of them, naturally her career goals in cross-country skiing, are high, with her talent. “Olympic Games, World Championships for that moment when you’re standing right up there, the German national anthem is playing and you know that all your effort, pain and disappointment were important and the right thing to do to get there.” She’s already participated in her first Olympics. And in 2019 the World Championships are at home in Seefeld. The trained customs officer also wants to have a career in a different job, preferably abroad. But until then there’s a lot of time left: from the national championships in 2018 she already has two Golds and one Silver medal hanging up at home.
