NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR THE TEAM PLAYER WITH THE ADDED TURBO
When Marco made his première in the World Cup at 19, he already had five medals from the Olympic Junior Games and Junior Championships sitting at home in his showcase. Five medals out of five (!) disciplines. Only the slalom was missing. But it was the slalom that attracted the most attention during the World Cup. The Carving Carinthian only needed eleven races, to ski his way into Third place on the podium on his Redster rockets. Guarantee for success: a really fast slalom turn, lots of speed on the flat. In the last two seasons Marco established himself on the World Cup circuit, performed constantly well instead of unleashing his potential. At the Olympics after just missing out in the combined it was still enough for his first desired precious metal: Silver in the team competition, which triggered great cheers and a roaring reception in his home town of Radenthein. The “Volkskracher” band even played their own Marco Schwarz song at the ski party. This should be played in the World Championship winter even more often, ideally after every time on the podium.
