#followthehero. The fans of Marcel Hirscher have a lot to look forward to in Kitzbühel and Schladming.
First a selfie with his Doppelganger and with a bit of luck, a meet and greet with the original. The Atomic hero himself is hoping to start a streak of success, while the Redster rookies Manuel Feller, Marco Schwarz and Marc Digruber aim for a new milestone in their young careers.
It has never been this easy to get that close to Marcel Hirscher. Posing with the hero and taking selfies – no problem at all in Kitzbühel and Schladming. Though it has to be mentioned that it’s only about a double resembling the real Marcel in appearance. But with a bit of luck a photo with the Hirscher-Look-a-like might lead to a priceless meeting with the original – a full day with the one and only Marcel Hirscher. “So many selfies! The dummy is really a hero”, Marcel laughs.
“That’s a really cool campaign by the Atomic-guys. I’m curious who will be the one I’m spending the day with.”
FOUR STEPS TO MEET AND GREET WITH MARCEL HIRSCHER
And this is how it works: Make a photo or selfie with the Marcel-Hirscher-dummy at the entrance of the Hahnenkammbahn in Kitzbühel (Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am) or at the summit station Planai in Schladming (Monday and Tuesday). Upload the photo on Facebook, include the correct hashtag (#followthehero #weareskiing), share it on your Facebook profile and hope for the best. Marcel’s record in Kitzbühel and Schladming is more than impressive. He won both events before, 2013 on the Ganslernhang, 2012 at the Planai but he’s looking back to a couple of more highlights, e.g. three additional spots on the podium (two of them in the combined event) and two epic wins in Schladming. The first came in the Giant Slalom at the World Cup finals 2012 paving the way for his first overall win in the World Cup. The other followed at the World Championships in 2013, when on the final day he released a whole nation from sorrow with the gold medal in the Slalom. This time Kitzbühel ought to be the start of a new serie of success after the setback of Wengen last weekend.

REDSTER-SLALOM-TRIO IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THEIR HERO
The rest of the Atomic Power-Slalom team is preparing to follow in the footsteps of their hero. Manuel Feller, Marco Schwarz and Marc Digruber, all three Redster-rookies, march in step this season. Due to an extruded disc Feller could only finish one and a half heats last winter. Schwarz and Digruber joined the Atomic Family last spring. All three of them already have recorded career All-Time-Highs this winter. Marco Schwarz finished in 3rd place in Madonna, Marc Digruber came 9th in Santa Caterina, while Manuel Feller showed great form with a 4th place finish in the GS in Val d’Isère and a 6th place finish in the Slalom in Adelboden. Last year in Kitzbühel Atomic veteran Mattias Hargin celebrated his maiden victory, and also this year is looking promising for the Redster-team. Manuel Feller, a native from Fieberbrunn, just 13 kilometers away from the Ganslernhang, is ready to rock. „Kitzbühel is my home race and my favorite one as well. In front of your family and friends you always try to give your best.“ The trend is a friend for the 23-year-old. Even though he crashed in Wengen, the speed was there again trailing winner Henrik Kristoffersen only by 0,07 of a second at the time of his elimination.
