They lasted 3 laps.</span> <span itemprop="description">I was once a HUGE fan of Atomic skis. I skied a pair of 2018 Backland FR 109s for 8 years, and I abused the heck out of them. Amazing skis, I finally retired them this year and replaced them with the new Backland 109. On the 3rd lap, one ski hit something under the snow (I didn't notice!) and the edge blew out. Atomic denied my warranty claim. There was either a manufacturing defect that made the ski particularly weak in this area, or the skis are just fragile. Whichever is true, do you really want to gamble $800 on it? Buy skis from a different company or better yet, buy used. Don't buy these. Atomic saved a few hundred dollars but they lost me as a customer forever.
