THE FLOW OF THE EARLY VERTICAL STARTER
To finish the first three World Cup races in the Top 20 is no mean feat. But the 20 year old has to digest this first. Kathi Huber reacted coolly and calmly to the inevitable setbacks and kept her focus. Now, 23, she’s wildly determined to reward herself for her patience and endurance. Individual results from the Olympic winter give reason for hope: Overall 12th in Levi is her all time career high, plus a 4th and a 9th place in the second runs in Zagreb and Ofterschwang, helped by lower start numbers in the final. Now the lady from Lower Austria wants to achieve this gradually for the first runs too. Possible key for success: her holiday. Kathi spent her holiday on Fuerteventura, where her surfboard was her constant companion. Possible ulterior motive: Her improved balance skills on one could also improve her performance on two boards.
