The Redster age and its most radiant Atomic star Marcel Hirscher: The harder the challenge at major events, the stronger he performs! After Slalom Gold at the World Championship in Schladming 2013, Combination Gold in Vail / Beaver Creek 2015 (and Team Gold in each) now Giant Slalom World Champion 2017! Five Big Crystal Globes and five World Championship gold medals - the king of ski racing has once again crowned himself…

One of the few reporter questions Marcel Hirscher has never been asked in the era of his five overall World Championships: Do you actually write your own screenplays? Also the story around his third – his fifth already, if you add two from team competitions - World Championship gold medal once again saw the typical suspense. A single hundredth prevented a title defense in the Combination (winning silver after all). The team competition was anything but golden with a little bit of an annoyance due to unnecessary malice in the media. The Giant Slalom training was not that great either. But then again this Marcel moment with the phoenix from the ashes effect: All of a sudden he’s back, makes it extremely exciting and in the end outshone everyone! Hirscher Heavy Mental, the Redster rock star who never gets tired ...

ON TIME DELIVERY DESPITE MASSIVE LOGISTICS FOR THE SKI SUPER STAR

Christian Höflehner, a successful Global Race Manager at Atomic and Hirscher’s bosom buddy since his time as coach, says something very interesting: "In sports, the term ‘demand performance' is often used. It basically is a small miracle every time the athlete succeeds. This is the best way to imagine what Marcel Hirscher has done week after week over the past years. It’s really brutal. And every time he succeeds the whole company is happy with him - as we all know how difficult it is and he always emphasizes how many people are required for him to succeed. This spirit is what defines us at Atomic."

60 pairs of skis (10 each for Super-G and Downhill, 20 for Slalom and Giant Slalom), 6 ski goggles with 60 (!) spare lenses, eight pairs of ski boots with spare parts and spare screws. Three helmets for Giant Slalom, Super-G and Downhill, two for Slalom, 15 kilograms of basic wax and racing wax, 70 files, 40 scrapers: Marcel Hirscher has the greatest success logistics of all – in return he delivers on time.

THE WORLD CHAMPION IS PROUD OF THE NEW REDSTER ATOMIC G9

He’s the best skier on planet earth. His know how? It’s contained in a groundbreaking innovation from Altenmarkt: In the new Atomic Redster G9 with Servotec, the first ski with servo steering. This milestone in the history of skiing owes its performance to Marcel's racing experience. Marcel Hirscher:  "Pretty much the hottest thing you can wear on your feet."

Marcel Hirscher has a shot at winning a third medal in the final Slalom of this World Championship, Mikaela Shiffrin & Co. are carving for medals on Saturday.
