With a victory for Damiano Lenzi at the high alpine Italian classic race, Trofeo Mezzalama, the record season finds its end for the Atomic athletes. The past winter was unbelievably successful, and the whole team was able to score high on their Backland equipment. The list of successes is almost too long to be true.
The skimountaineering season is slowly finding an end, and yet the Atomic athletes are getting better and better in the ISMF World Cup. With the Backland UL 65 skis under their feet, they achieved in the main categories three results on the podium in the individual and in the sprint race this weekend.
The 2017 Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships went down last weekend in Sierra Nevada, Spain. Athletes from all around the world were competing for their respective countries in order to gain points for the upcoming Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. The Atomic athletes, representing many different countries, were able to claim the podium in both the Men's and Women's Slopestyle and Superpipe competitions.
Red carpet for the Redster aces. At the end of a unique season, Atomic celebrates the victory of the Overall World Cup Winner for women and men, and being the most successful race brand of this winter.
She ticked reliable as a clockwork throughout the entire season - now Atomic’s Nordic poster child Hanna Falk also delivered at the World Cup finals in Québec, Canada.
What a winter. Temperatures well below zero, a vast blanket of snow over months and countless Redster hours of glory: The most successful ski brand at the World Championships in St. Moritz and in the end probably well over 60 top three rankings. Historical: As with Marcel Hirscher and Mikaela Shiffrin two new Atomic all-time heroes are on the everlasting leaderboard of the biggest names in the sport of skiing.
The series of Backland victories goes on: Atomic skimountaineers are racing from victory to victory with their Backland UL 65 ski. After the success in the ISMF World Championships, they can also achieve superb results in the races of the ‘La Grande Course’ races in the western Alps.
Right after the Marcel Hirscher festivals in Kranjska Gora (one victory, three Crystal Globes), the Redster unit carved on the wave of success in Squaw Valley.
