HE WAS NEARLY OUT OF SPORT ALTOGETHER, BUT MANAGED THE TURNAROUND – AS: #PASSION WINS

What an unbelievable athlete’s story: in 2015 Andreas was nearly out of the sport altogether! Ousted out of all teams, he was nearly out of a job. His motto was to enrol (at the Sporthochschule Köln) instead of give up, just rely on himself again, then training was fun again. His idol from his youth Tobias Angerer helped him as his mentor back onto the tracks of success again, Andreas changed over to the Atomic Redster team and managed thanks to the individual high-tech support to make a comeback again. At the Tour de Ski in 2016 he achieved 16th place, right back among the World’s top athletes. Now he’s a fixed member of the National German cross-country team again. In Pyeongchang he was set up for three competitions. And in the 50 km King’s discipline he came in in 14th place. The summit of his career? “I haven’t got there yet,” said Andi. As his own hashtag always motivates him to try again and again
