THE GOLDEN BALANCING ACT ON THREE EDGES
Woody Allen once said “You can’t ride two horses with one backside“. That's not true! Ester can. And that’s why she has been in the sports history books since February 2018. As the eighth Olympic athlete, as third at the Olympic games, as the first one for 90 years and the first woman ever to get two Gold medals in two different sports at one and the same Olympic Games. Everyone pretty much believed she would get the snowboard Gold in the parallel GS after two World Championship titles, however the Olympic win in the Alpine super G one week before caught the ski world out completely on the wrong foot. In the end the 23 year old from Prague had only participated in 19 World Cup races (one Top 10 place, two best times in training). In winter 2018/19 a similar coup is impossible, as the ski and snowboards World Championships are taking place at the same time. Instead of this after extending her contract with Atomic she wants to crank up her performance in the World Cup and at some point win the large crystal globe. The woman is a new benchmark.
