What a weekend for Atomic’s Redster Cross-Country team! Simen Hegstad Krueger won the 15k race in Davos, the Cross-Country World Cup’s third stop. While in South Tirol’s Vinschgau valley Russian Ermil Vokuev grabbed the Venosta victory on his Redster C9 – right in his first race of the Ski Classics Pro Tour.

The winter had started with an irritation for the Norwegian: he had to skip Ruka because he was sick and he was still recovering in Lillehammer. But he was back to full strength in Davos, confidently taking the win in his favorite discipline over 15k freestyle – in adverse conditions. “My skis were incredible,” Simen said after the race. As a matter of fact, the racetrack is mainly in the shade and the Redster S9 suits the aggressive snow of Davos perfectly. The next Redster generation could also benefit from that: Norwegian Anne Kjersti Kalvaa raced to an 8th place, proving once more that she’s a big up-and-coming Cross-Country hope. Frenchman Hugo Lapalus and Austrian Lisa Unterweger scored their first World Cup points in Davos.

“This is an extremely important victory for Simen that shows he’s born a winner.”

ERMIL OUTRAN THEM ALL AT LA VENOSTA
The weekend showed that the Redster race setup is the right choice anytime and anywhere – also in Italy. Russian Ermil Vokuev raced in a class of his own at the Ski Classics Pro Tour ‘s stop at La Venosta, winning the Long Distance Race in the Vinschgau valley (South Tyrol).

“I’m in good shape. That, in combination with my Redster C9 setup, gives me great confidence for the races to come. Whatever the conditions, we’re prepared for anything in the Atomic team.”
