In Toblach it took time for the turbo to kick in for the Redster rocket, 9th place after 2.1 km, Hegstad Krüger only took over the lead after 10 km to finally cross the finishing line as the winner with a clear lead of 10.6 seconds. In the 15 km classic pursuit the skating specialist held the lead for two thirds of the race, but was then overtaken at the end to end up in 10th place. In the World Cup interim results the Norwegian is now in 3rd place. In the Ladies Kathrine Rolsted Harsem also knew how to assert herself and came in 13th in the pursuit. The World Cup is heading to Lenzerheide (Switzerland) for the New Year where the 1st stage of the Tour de Ski will be held. Skating sprints (30.12) as well as two 10 or 15 km classic / freestyle events will be held on (31.12 / 1.1).
The biathlete Benjamin Weger also skated on the track to success. In the World Cup in Le-Grand-Bonnard (France) the Swiss athlete demonstrated great potential after an 11th and 16th place in the sprint and in the 15 km mass start pursuit. After one miss in the standing position the 28 year old was only 25.8 seconds down at the end. On the track Weger, with his successful 5th place, was only 5 seconds down on the winner Martin Fourcade (FRA).
