THE PATIENCE OF ANNA AND WHAT SHE WRITES ABOUT LIFE
A murmur went through the World Cup scene. In her first World Cup GS the ski novice Anna Hofer from South Tyrol came in 16th over the finishing line. That was 2011. Too much too fast? The rebound was hard – injuries and always the tough fight back into the team. Touching, almost poetic, what she sometimes wrote on her website during these humble years: "During the course of my career I’ve experienced lots of highs and lows and I’ve learnt to cope with success and setbacks. I need to be patient, when I experience times, where nothing appears to move forward and I’ve learnt to appreciate it and enjoy it when everything happens by itself.” Great words from a strong lady. And last winter she finally managed to collect World Cup points again. And if everything continues like this, then she can carry on doing it this World Championship season.
