Quarter Finals, 30 points at the parallel-event in Moscow for ATOMIC-star Marcel Hirscher; thus, the winner of eight races this season is again the new number 1 in the World Cup. In the women's competition, Kranjska-Gora winner Michaela Kirchgasser finished second.

Alpine Skiing World Cup in Moscow - a snow layer of 40 centimeters covered the massive, 56 meters high ramp. Among the invited 30 top-racers of the world rankings the 5 ATOMIC-athletes and the ATOMIC RACE had to demonstrate their flexibility on the short track of about 180 meters. "It was tricky to drive towards giant slalom gates which were spaced like in a slalom", Marcel Hirscher said, visibly stoked on the city event. "It was very cool to compete in the heart of the city." And the trip to Moscow definitely paid off: Hirscher now has earned 1055 points and leads the overall World Cup by 12.

Kirchgasser storms into the finals
The trip to Moscow was a success for Michaela Kirchgasser as well. On her way to the finals the current number 3 of the slalom World-Cup succeeded over Anna Fenninger, Tina Maze and Maria Höfl-Riesch, who even was a tenth of a second ahead of the ATOMIC-pilot in the first of the two heats. "The battle woman versus woman is great fun. I caught a good rhythm and I am very happy about my second place on the podium this season."
