HIRSCHER TACKLES IT

Zest for action. Marcel Hirscher (22) is a team player. Each and every day, the ATOMIC system athlete (skis, binding, boots, helmet, goggles) who has fully recovered from his scaphoid fracture sustained in February proves this in his preparations. Hirscher himself, his father Ferdinand, ATOMIC boots expert Andreas Dudek and legendary ATOMIC serviceman Edi Unterberger are working on the ideal set-up for the winter.

The 2011-12 season sees the launch of the most stunning women's collection ATOMIC has ever put together, featuring new designs and innovative technologies.

Sage Cattabriga-Alosa is one of the best freeskiers on the planet. He has been wowing fans for the last nine years with his stand out movie segments in Teton Gravity Research films. The very fact that he bypassed the normal pro-path of gaining a name on the competition circuit or working with smaller freeski filmmakers, and instead went from a total unknown to one of the star regulars in the biggest ski productions speaks volumes for his talent. Last year he decided to try his hand at a bit of competition as well, and immediately found himself at the top of the result sheets. It seems there is literally nothing Sage cannot do with his trusty ATOMIC Bent Chetlers and some steep terrain.

Tested by the world's best athletes and deemed as outstanding: the 2011-12 ATOMIC Race collection puts the World Cup technologies developed by the most successful brand in Alpine ski sport in the hands of performance-driven skiers.

THE ROCKER REVOLUTION

The ideal shape for maximum fun on the slopes: ATOMIC's tailor-made Rocker philosophies.

This coming season ATOMIC is offering all-mountain skiers a range of tailor-made, all-inclusive solutions for even greater pleasure and even better performance. What's on offer: new models and pioneering innovations guaranteed to make every skier a better skier in 2011-12.

By continually developing its innovative Doubledeck technology, ATOMIC has once again managed to combine all-round performance with easy handling for the upcoming season. Because Doubledeck skis respond instantly to the individual style of the skier as well as the relevant skiing conditions. The lower adapter deck also adapts to the slope, while the upper control deck distributes power effectively. Five connecting pieces made of elastomers between the upper deck and the lower deck ensure active suspension and very smooth skiing. Which allows for more efficient skiing and effortless ski control.

It was love at first sight. 11 years ago, 13-year-old Carlo Janka (now 24) used ATOMIC skis for the first time and right away, he was triple canton champion. This was followed by a World Championship title, Olympic gold and the overall World Cup victory. The „iceman“ is burning for his 12th ATOMIC season. The preparations are going as well as hardly ever before. The Swiss young star and his ATOMIC serviceman Stefan Viehhauser are getting ready.

Red Racers. While others are still whining about the new FIS regulations concerning sidecuts, ATOMIC has already started developing material for the world championships season 2012/2013. The first prototypes should be tested during future overseas snow trainings of some ATOMIC athletes in the next weeks.

How ATOMIC intends to make life easier for cross-country skiers in 2011-12

Why waxing is now old hat; how racers can adapt even better to changing snow conditions; and why ATOMIC designs tailor-made core constructions for each different target group: a look ahead to what promises to be the most successful and enjoyable cross-country season ever.

ATOMIC's helmets and protectors combine ultimate protection with maximum comfort – because they are designed by skiers for skiers and are specifically developed to meet skiers' needs.

ATOMIC's revolutionary Skintec grip technology comprises two interchangeable skin inlays for cross-country skiers. These grip modules can be inserted into or removed from the grip zone in one easy motion. Making the unique Skintec system a hugely effective time-saving device, because a classic ski can be transformed for use in all conditions without the need for waxing. Never before have cross-country skiers been able to use the narrow windows between family and work so effectively.
