DOUBLEDECK: UNIQUE PERFORMANCE FROM TWO SKIS IN ONE
By continually developing its innovative Doubledeck technology, ATOMIC has once again managed to combine all-round performance with easy handling for the upcoming season. Because Doubledeck skis respond instantly to the individual style of the skier as well as the relevant skiing conditions. The lower adapter deck also adapts to the slope, while the upper control deck distributes power effectively. Five connecting pieces made of elastomers between the upper deck and the lower deck ensure active suspension and very smooth skiing. Which allows for more efficient skiing and effortless ski control.
EVERY SKI HAS A RADIUS – ONLY ONE SKI COVERS ALL RADIUSES: THE ATOMIC D2 VARIO CUT
The ATOMIC D2 Vario Cut allows all skiers, even beginners, to carve long or short turns effortlessly.
The lower deck is a freely gliding element and is therefore able to adapt to the relevant piste conditions. When pressure is applied to the ski the lower deck, which is split at the tip and tail, opens up through the flexible rubber connection. The greater the pressure exerted on the ski, the wider the ski becomes at the front and rear, thereby reducing the radius. Likewise when less pressure is applied, the separation of the lower deck is reduced and the radius is increased. As well as exceptional agility with various radiuses, the D2 Vario Cut promises considerable stability and an extremely smooth ride.
PERFECT FLEX THROUGH EVERY FRACTION OF A SECOND: THE NEW ATOMIC D2 VARIO FLEX
Unlike classic ski constructions, the ATOMIC D2 Vario Flex features progressively increasing flex which actively adapts to every phase of a turn.
If the skier reduces the pressure applied to the upper deck, the flex becomes softer and makes turning effortless. And the greater the pressure applied, the more dynamic the ski at high speeds. The D2 Vario Flex returns to the basic position very quickly at any speed, thus preventing the kind of strong vibrations common to traditional ski constructions and which often lead to mistakes. It combines the power of a race ski with the comfort of an all-round ski.
