The next generation of all-rounders
The buzzword in the all-mountain range for the 2010-11 season is Adaptive Camber: the new ATOMIC models are packed with innovative technology and are equally at home in soft powder snow or on hard ice slopes.
Until now the waist width, waist and flex were the key parameters in ski construction. Now there is a new important distinguishing element: camber. The camber profile defines the actual camber and the ski's points of contact with the snow, and has a crucial effect on the characteristics of the ski and its usage.
ATOMIC is introducing this technological development with three different camber profiles: Traditional Camber for on-piste skiers who expect perfect edge grip even in the toughest of snow conditions; Adaptive Camber for all-mountain skiers who like to ski on both soft snow and in challenging piste conditions; and Rocker Camber for freeskiers looking for perfect lift in powder snow but who also value high stability on hard snow.
ATOMIC's all-mountain models are now Adaptive Camber constructions, making them forgiving of errors on the piste and allowing turns to be carved effortlessly. They deliver optimum lift in powder snow and in soft snow.
Nomads: the perfect all-rounders
Savage Ti: top-of-the-range
The Savage Ti, which is reinforced with titanium inserts, is the top-of-the-line all-mountain product. Its step down sidewall construction increases the ski's stability on hard ground, while a 93 mm waist width ensures optimum lift in soft snow.
The new Blackeye Ti: multi-talented
At 82 mm the new-for-2011 version is 3 mm wider, improving lift off-piste. The Step Down Sidewall and titanium-reinforced wood core ensure high stability and smoothness on the piste.
All Mountain Twins: the next generation
The all-mountain range also includes the Coax and the Panic. The two twin-tip models are Adaptive Camber constructions which are exceptionally agile and deliver outstanding turning compliancy in both soft powder snow and in tougher snow conditions.
Coax: the dynamic twin
A width of 105 mm enables the Coax to deliver sufficient lift in deep powder snow. Thanks to its tip-to-tail wood core and Step Down Sidewall L3 construction, the Coax is exceptionally dynamic even in challenging conditions.
Panic: the agile twin
Although the new Panic comes into its own on-piste, the Step Down Sidewall L2 construction with a waist width of 87 mm also ensures optimum lift and supreme agility off-piste.
Burner & Medusa: all-mountain boots with increased stand height…
The Burner (for men) and Medusa (for women) are especially designed to meet the demands of all-mountain skiers. On both models, the newly developed Enduro chassis improves the edge grip of wider skis thanks to a 5 mm increase in stand height and delivers the kind of impressive performance expected by all-mountain skiers.
… and new aluminium buckles
Another ATOMIC innovation are the Alu 7000 buckles featured on both the Burner and Medusa. They are currently the lightest aluminium buckles on the market and yet are extremely robust. In conjunction with the ASY Sport liner they ensure perfect support.
Xeed Ritual: the comfortable and safe all-mountain helmet
The ATOMIC Xeed Ritual is the perfect helmet for all-mountain skiers: a special combination of ABS outer shell (Acrilonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and EPS inner liner (Expanded Polystyrene) provides superb protection despite the helmet's light weight. Ventilation slits as well as the precise and simple AFS size adjustment system ensure high wear comfort and perfect support.
