Waymaker Tour: experience pure freedom on the mountain

Backcountry touring really can be this intensive and enjoyable: the new Atomic Waymaker Tour touring ski boot takes freedom to a whole new dimension.

Choose your own route through unspoiled natural landscapes. Explore beautiful scenery away from groomed pistes. And achieve your goals more easily in the new season. These new horizons are made possible by the latest highlights from our backcountry touring series - in particular the revolutionary Waymaker Tour 110 touring ski boot.

With a 101 millimeter last, it wraps the foot closely and yet comfortably, while the extremely lightweight and ultra-stiff Carbon Spine transfers power even more precisely to the ski. Making skiing on challenging powder slopes even more fun than before.

Free/Lock System: efficient climbing and excellent downhill performance

One of the unique features of the Waymaker Tour is the new Free/Lock System. In climb mode, the cuff moves freely to help you use less energy on uphill sections, even on difficult terrain. In Lock mode, the cuff then delivers ultimate and unparalleled support for breathtaking and safe runs back to the valley. And if you need to do a little climbing to reach untouched powder, you can do so with confidence. The Skywalk sole on the Waymaker Tour provides strong grip on any surface. The sole components are interchangeable, allowing you use your familiar touring and alpine bindings with the Waymaker Tour. What's more: when we say that these boots make light work of climbs, we mean that quite literally. Thanks to the Carbon Spine, Pebax shell and new liner, the Waymaker Tour 110 weighs in at just 1,750 grams.

To reflect this focus on backcountry performance, in 2013 we are also offering you a wide selection of touring equipment – from touring skis to telescopic poles, helmets and climbing skins.
